Beginner Series are offered various times throughout the year, led by 500 RYT (Registered Yoga Trainers) instructors; perfect for anyone new to yoga. Check our website for the next offering.
Beginner Yoga is designed for those who are new to yoga as well as for those who are looking to refine their foundational skills. This class will move at a slower pace to introduce and break down basic yoga postures, providing props, variations, and modifications to accommodate different levels of flexibility and strength. Practitioners are encouraged to move at their own pace and listen to the body. Please discuss any special needs with the teacher before class. All are welcome in this judgment free space!
Gentle Yoga is appropriate for those who want a softer, nurturing, slow-paced, well-supported and relaxing practice. Poses are carefully orchestrated so you can achieve not only relaxation but improved flexibility and mindfulness.
Yin- During this practice you will hold postures for longer periods of time (3-5 minutes) to allow deep tissue release. While this class is fairly passive, using props to support the body, it still requires mental presence and muscle engagement. You will learn to find your “edge”, a place where you experience a manageable amount of sensation. This class is a great compliment to a more active yoga practice and beneficial to anyone from beginners to athletes.
Vinyasa all level classes are offered in both HOT and non-hot conditions. You will learn body awareness and basic postures along with their modifications and progressions. It is highly recommended that you have taken a beginner class or have previous yoga experience before attending the all levels class.
Lunch- This class is only 45 minutes. Your midday hour long fix in non-hot conditions. You will learn body awareness and basic postures along with their modifications, that are appropriate for all ages and levels.
Power Yoga- This power yoga class combines traditional yoga asana with strength and conditioning. It is meant for practitioners with experience and familiarity with the practice, as there is less instruction than with traditional classes. If you are up for a challenge both physically and mentally, give it a try!
Pre/post-natal- Pre/post natal yoga prepares the body before, during, and after pregnancy by building strength as well as offering breathing techniques and relaxation for you; as you prepare to transition through the pregnancy stages. Before, during and after carrying a baby, this class will focus on pelvic floor engagement while also moving through yoga poses that are safely choreographed. Pre/post natal yoga not only reduces stress but also builds strength and confidence while surrounding you with community.
Pre/post Natal with Pelvic Floor Training- Just like our regular pre/post natal classes, but now including a pelvic floor therapist. In addition to learning to harness the power of the breath, developing a stronger mind-body awareness, and experiencing deep relaxation to wash your worries away, you will now also receive further information and guidance on aligning and preparing your body for a smoother pregnancy and birth. Learn to create an optimal environment for baby and connect with your pelvic floor and core now for a faster recovery after birth. Gain important insights and join a guided practice from two professions to strengthen, relax, and empower your body and mind for the remainder of your motherhood journey.
Stretch & Restore- Class begins with gentle and light stretching, allowing participants to move into a more restful state both physically and mentally, followed by a gentle and calm restorative yoga practice, where yoga poses are held using props such as blankets and bolsters for added comfort.
BARRE/PILATES
Barre- While Barre has its origins in ballet, no dance experience is needed, and all levels of fitness experience are welcome in this class. You will spend time on mat-based exercises as well as exercises at the barre. A DTY barre class consists of low impact/high repetition movements, with small isometric exercises to sculpt your arms, core, and legs (especially your booty). Our barre instructors incorporate a variety of props, including light hand weights, resistance bands, soft pilates balls, and disc sliders,and no two classes are the same! All of our barre instructors are barre certified through various certification programs. This class will shape your body FAST using muscle groups you didn’t realize you had!
Pilates- In this beginner mat Pilates class, you will flow through a classical Pilates session, exactly as Joseph Pilates intended. You will learn the fundamentals and proper techniques of Pilates mat, focusing on the mind-body connection, breathing, core stability, controlled movements, and flexibility. This is an energetic and challenging workout that will leave you lengthened and strengthened.
Hot Pilates- Hot Pilates combines core-focused Pilates exercises with dynamic strength and conditioning in a heated studio. The warmth helps loosen muscles, deepen flexibility, and intensify the workout while supporting detoxification through sweat. You’ll move through controlled, high-rep sequences designed to tone arms, legs, glutes, and abs. Modifications are offered, making this class accessible yet challenging for every fitness level.
Strength & Sculpt- This 60-minute total body, low impact, strength training workout will provide the best in movement-based muscle conditioning. Borrowing from yoga, pilates, barre and traditional strength exercises to create long, lean, and strong bodies. A variety of tools will be utilized including resistance bands, hand weights, pilates balls and more. While cardio will not be a focus of this class, your heart rate will increase due to steady demand and quality repetitions. Add in a great soundtrack and dynamic, different work each week, and a stronger you will only be a workout away!
CYCLE/REV
REV Cycle- REV Cycle offers a ride that will enhance your performance like never before. With state-of-the-art technology, Matrix bikes offer measurable results through watts, rpms, calories, and distance data. These metrics matter and help achieve goals within every class.
REV Cycle & Strength- Enjoy a shortened version of our cycle class followed by arms and abs toning.
Circuit Training- This circuit training program combines cardiovascular endurance, functional strength, and targeted core stability by rotating through specialized equipment stations. This high-intensity approach optimizes time and keeps the heart rate elevated throughout the session.
REV Power Hour- Unleash with DTY’s high energy strength training class! This class will include high intensity interval training (HIIT), tabatas, and weight training to deliver a full body burn. Each class is designed to target a variety of muscle groups and elevate your heart rate. Power Hour will incorporate weights and body weight exercises to challenge you in a set amount of working time, followed with a recovery period. This class welcomes all fitness levels, with modifications available throughout to fit your needs. Expect energetic music, positive energy, and a motivating atmosphere! Challenge yourself, have fun, and leave feeling stronger and more confident than ever.
